The Annual Designers in Residence Symposium 2017

This annual symposium for university students will foster a learning exchange involving a wider body of design students and graduates with the current Designers in Residence. It will also explore the 2017 residency programme.

Who should attend

University students: undergraduate (BA, BSc) and postgraduate (MA).

What to expect

Students attending the symposium will:

  • learn insights into creative residencies as a professional model, or career development prospect

  • receive strategies for securing (and getting the most out of) residencies and comparable progression opportunities

  • hear ‘lessons learnt’ from emerging designers about how to effectively work within institutional contexts, navigate business processes and client relationships.

Featured Designers in Residence include Rain Wu, Alix Bizet, Clementine Blakemore and Andrea de Chirico.
