The new Design Museum offers students and educators world class design education facilities supporting a vibrant and relevant programme connected with the wider ecology of design practice, networks and communities. This programme opens up the world of design and connects students with industry practice across Level 3 curricula (including A level, BTEC, UAL Diploma, Foundation).
Hour-long workshops support students to gain new perspectives on the role of designers and the impact of design in everyday life. For key stages 3,4 and 5.
Your Studio workshops encourage students to develop their design thinking skills. They have been developed with Level 3 vocational learners in mind (BTEC and UAL Diploma). They are also suited to Foundation (Level 3 to 4) learners or relevant A-Level subjects.
The new Design Museum welcomes schools, colleges and universities for self-guided visits of the opening exhibitions.
The museum's CPD courses use innovative ideas from the world of design to address themes that matter to educators. The first CPD event will take place on the 7 December.
The 2016/17 academic year is a shorter year for the Design Museum, which reopens on 24 November 2016. This means that the schedule for competitions has changed temporarily. Watch this space for details of the next competition, which will be announced in Spring/ Summer 2017.
The resources are geared toward design students studying a wide spread of relevant courses at further and higher education level, as well as recent graduates.
The Design Museum is now open in its spectacular new location in Kensington. The new address will be 224-238 Kensington High Street London, W8 6AG.
