The winner of the UK's most prestigious design prize - Designer of the Year - is Jamie Hewlett for his work with virtual band, Gorillaz. The other nominees for the award were furniture designer Tom Dixon; The Guardian design team for the redesign of the newspaper; and humanitarian designer Cameron Sinclair for his work with Architecture for Humanity.
