DRAGA

One of the new generation of Russian multimedia designers, Alex Draganov - also known as Draga - creates intricate and emotionally expressive digital images for his personal website www.draga.co.uk. Born in Moscow in 1984, he grew up in the eastern suburb of Golianovo but his most vivid memories of his childhood are of summers spent with his family by the sea at Mariupol in the Ukraine.

Draga discovered computers as a child by playing games first on a ZX Spectrum 48K, a gift from his parents, and then on a Pentium 200MMX PC. He taught himself how to programme in his teens and in 2001 joined Markada, a creative team in Copenhagen. After a few months there Draga returned to Russia to study at Moscow University. Since summer 2002 he has concentrated on multimedia projects.
