Design is a continually evolving subject. The Design Museum offers opportunities to explore the present and future of design through a programme of temporary exhibitions and displays.

SKATEBOARD

Explore the design evolution of the skateboard from the 1950s to today – a story of design, performance and communities progressing together.
If you are a skateboarder aged 16+ and would like to skate in the ramp, please book an Open Skate ticket (one day in advance) which gives you access to the exhibition and the ramp on the same day of your visit.

Enzo Mari

This major exhibition celebrates the life and work of one of the greatest Italian designers of the 20th century, Enzo Mari, whose designs have inspired generations of creatives around the world.

Accompanying the retrospective exhibition 'Enzo Mari Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist with Francesca Giacomelli', this free display showcases the work of 14 London-based designers, studios and collectives whose practices share an affinity with Enzo Mari's.

Design Ventura

From April, visit our Design Ventura display to discover the shortlisted and winning projects from our national schools' competition created in partnership with Deutsche Bank’s youth programme Born to Be to encourage students to develop product ideas and learn about the design process.
