Presenting a snapshot of Hong Kong creativity, Creative Hong Kong brings together 100 examples of Hong Kong design and offers a glimpse of how the region is developing contemporary Chinese design. Featured designers include Raman Hui, co-director of Shrek III, Chelsia Lau, Chief Designer, Ford Motors and architect Rocco Yim. The designs on display range from fashion to toys, from environments to communications.
Also on display are ten design objects, commissioned by the Hong Kong Design Centre to mark the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong’s reunification with China. They are the result of an experiment between ten world-renowned brands and ten globally recognised designers, born and educated in Hong Kong. Collaborations include Vivienne Tam and Georg Jensen, Eric Chan and Herman Miller and Gary Chang and Alessi.
