Presenting a snapshot of Hong Kong creativity, Creative Hong Kong brought together 100 examples of Hong Kong design and offered a glimpse of how the region has been developing contemporary Chinese design. Featured designers included Raman Hui, co-director of Shrek III, Chelsia Lau, Chief Designer, Ford Motors and architect Rocco Yim. The designs on display ranged from fashion to toys, from environments to communications.

Also on display were ten design objects, commissioned by the Hong Kong Design Centre to mark the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong’s reunification with China. They were the result of an experiment between ten world-renowned brands and ten globally recognised designers, born and educated in Hong Kong. Collaborations include Vivienne Tam and Georg Jensen, Eric Chan and Herman Miller and Gary Chang and Alessi.
