“Designed in California” is the new “Made in Italy”. While California’s mid-century modernism is well documented, this is the first exhibition to examine its current global reach. Picking up the story in the 1960s, the exhibition charts the journey from the counterculture to Silicon Valley’s tech culture. \#California
Breathing Colour by acclaimed Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, is an installation-based exhibition that takes a deeper look at the way colour behaves, exploring shapes, materials, shadows and reflections. \#BreathingColour
The Joy of Set Design
The Joy of Set Design is a 1:1 scale film-set designing and film-making workshop devised and led by Scene Everything studio. Open to all young people within the 8 borough’s supported by the John Lyon’s Charity.
Open Studio Workshop
‘Do Robots Blush?’ is a design workshop led by Soomi Park, one of this year’s Designers in Residence. The workshop invited participants to explore her interest in intelligent machines, and their potential to express emotions.
